Open vs Closed Ended Funds

Closed ended funds can provide excellent and cost effective collective investment vehicles for private individuals and high net worth persons.

Open ended structures are, almost always, more flexible and complex to meet the needs of institutional investors, asset managers or retail investors. As their name indicates open ended funds may receive subscriptions and make redemptions on their designated dealing days, whilst even closed ended schemes can have some degree of flexibility in their terms.
