Adrian Cann

|
Adrian was born in
England in 1946, educated in London, joined a
small firm of Chartered Accountants in London,
married Pamela in 1965 and qualified in 1968.
Three years in South Africa followed, initially
with Coopers and Lybrand and then in commerce,
before he returned with his family to England
for four years. They returned to South Africa in
1975 where he was an Audit Manager with Deloitte
Haskins & Sells for three years before being
transferred to Botswana. In 1991 he left
Botswana to move to Guernsey, having been the
Senior Partner of Deloitte's Botswana practice
for nine years during which time there was
significant growth in the region. In Guernsey,
after six years trust and company experience as
Managing Director of Town Mills Trust Company
Limited (a Jersey General Group company), he
established Cannon. His wife, Pamela, is
headmistress of Melrose, the junior school of
The Ladies' College. They have two daughters,
both married, one a nursery school teacher with
two children and the other an Audit & Advisory
Senior Manager with Deloitte & Touche (Guernsey)
with one child. |

Richard was born
in Johannesburg in 1957. He obtained a Bachelor
of Accountancy Degree at the University of the
Witwatersrand and qualified as a Chartered
Accountant with Price Waterhouse in Johannesburg
in 1983. On leaving Price Waterhouse he became
the sole proprietor of an audit practice in
Johannesburg, with work biased towards
international mergers and acquisitions, taxation
and financial structures. From 1995 until
mid-1997 he also represented the Jersey General
group, an offshore investment group of
companies, in Johannesburg. Having relocated in
August 1997 to help establish Cannon, he and his
family are now settled in Guernsey. They have a

Jeff Corbet

|
Jeff was born in
Guernsey in 1954 and was educated locally before
joining a small local financial services company
as Computer Operations Manager. In 1976 he moved
to North Wales before moving to Paris where he
became the technical instructor in a private
Language Centre. In 1981, whilst still in Paris,
he married Janie, returning to Guernsey in 1985.
He moved back into the finance sector with
Saffrey Champness in Trust and Company
administration and was then sought by a client
to become the General Manager of their
international tour operations and Managing
Director of their local entity. During this time
his prime responsibilities, apart from building
up the travel operations, were treasury
management and foreign exchange dealings. In
early 1995 he joined Town Mills Trust as a
senior manager before leaving to help Adrian
establish Cannon. His role at Cannon is to
manage our internal administration, together
with all due diligence, compliance and
money-laundering regulatory requirements. His
wife, Janie, has taken a career break after
almost 20 years as principal of the St
Christopher's Language Centre and is now a
journalist for the Guernsey Evening Press. They
have two sons, one at University in England and
one currently studying for his "A" levels in
Guernsey. |
