Commercial Property

Commercial property will almost always be acquired using an offshore company structure formed in an appropriate jurisdiction. Through our contacts we are able to source quality commercial property in the UK and, potentially, elsewhere. Once the property to be acquired has been identified we will:

  • Source an appropriate mortgage, either ourselves or through a specialist broker
  • Appoint the conveyancing attorneys.
  • Obtain a UK VAT registration from HMRC for the company, if required
  • Deal with Exchange and Completion on the property
  • Ensure that appropriate insurance cover is arranged on the property
  • Appoint property managing agents
  • Ensure the company is registered with HMRC under the Non-Resident Landlords Scheme if appropriate
  • Liaise regularly with the managing agent to ensure that rentals are received on time
  • Ensure all bookkeeping is maintained up to date
  • Prepare accounts for the tax year end and determine any taxable profit
